YogaMotion Assistant, Health Coach and RYT 200 Yoga Teacher
Yoga provides me with guideposts as I find my path through life as an individual and as part of a family, community and world. Yoga helps me—physically, mentally and spiritually—to be a better me. I began practicing yoga in my early twenties and formally teaching after graduating from YogaMotion Teacher Training in 2012. Sharing the practice with others—on the mat or in combination with running, hiking or skiing—nourishes me deeply. We are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful mountain town. As I get older my appreciation for all life offers increases. I am honored to be working with Nancy as her assistant with YogaMotion Academy and share her motto to feel good, have fun and live well.
E-RYT 500 Anusara Certified Yoga Teacher
Yoga has been a part of my life for almost 30 years now. It is my compass and has given me the gift of trusting the universe, and a way to ride its deep currents, to see the dark places as juicy nutrients for soul work, growth and becoming. Asana has taught me how much I value vulnerability, creativity and beauty, and that beauty is an inside quality seeking to express itself into the outside. Yoga has shown me a Way to trust the journey, to stay steady on the path through the exhilarating peaks as well s the valleys of life. My passion is to share with humor the deep lessons we learn by staying steady through difficulty which grants us the experience of our true worthiness.
YogaMotion E-RYT 200 YogaMotion Adjunct Teacher
I have many roles in the practice of yoga/life. I am the founder of Red Bird Yoga in Stevensville, Montana and also a continuing student in the practice of yoga/life. I guide and encourage my students in the practice of hatha yoga and also encourage them in the practice of life through their time on their mats. I have been practicing for 14 years and teaching for seven. My education in yoga has been through YogaMotion and Erich Schiffmann’s Freedom Style Yoga. My focus in teaching is the alignment of the body via the discipline of Mr. Iyengar, Ashtanga Yoga and Anusara Yoga and then encouraging my students to let go of the discipline (when the time is right) so they can channel their own yoga/life. I do so from a place of compassion, love and humor.
RYT 500 Yoga Nidra Teacher
I like the practice of yoga for many reasons. Yoga saved my life when I was a “puddle on the floor.” It helped my spine remain flexible through 67 years of rugged living. It has trained my mind to remain in a relaxed state while the world is chaotically spinning around me. It has given me the tools to receive life’s challenges as a welcomed guest at my door. For me, yoga is not just about learning to be FLEXIBLE … yoga is teaching me how to be FREE. I am a world traveler, and enjoy spending time in third world cultures where daily living is beautifully simplistic, nature loving, and unfettered by our intense technological schisms.
