WHERE THE HECK IS THAT NEW WEBSITE?
The New Year has begun and with it a few important resolutions. For me, that meant resolving to never be in a hurry! That’s right…no more chasing the clock or the calendar with anxious efforts to get the job done “come hell or high water.” That was the old me. I am now embracing the new me. And letting go of trying to beat the clock is something that seems to come with being 50 something. Thank the Goddess.
As some of you might know my last year’s plans were immediately shifted far from my own intentions when a dear friend fell ill and I flew off to Hawaii to support her through her dance with death. So much learned that another story is being written in those reflections. Returning in late Spring, I spent the time catching up with myself and all things business. The summer was spent enjoying, yes, the Summer of Montana. Oh, so short and sweet. Along with a couple of Immersions, I allowed my Yoga practice to be one of dancing at many wonderful music festivals throughout the region. And also trying to “be in love” with a surfer I imported from Hawaii. That’s another story all together…..I was very distracted!
Come Fall, I was blessed to have 32 amazing individuals join together to ENRICH THEIR LIFES with YOGAMOTION’S IN-DEPTH STUDY AND TEACHER TRAINING . We are have been in full swing two weekends of every month since the end of September and such wonderful growth and challenges have been shared. To get more of an insight, read KAREN STENSETH’S blog posts here as she reports her personal monthly progress and perspectives.
So, back to the WEBSITE. In betwix and between all of these, along with classes, and private training, and redefining the intention of our YogaMotion Studio towards a Wellness Center, lies the development of THE WEBSITE.
Ten years have gone by with the present design. Five years have gone by trying to find a source to help redesign at a cost that matches my budget. After many over-the -top bids and out-of-the-ball-park suggestions, I believe I finally found my source. Someone that reflects my own desire to KEEP IT SIMPLE and a woman that works independently understanding the limitations of a one-woman show.
The project began to materialize in November, however, when feeling a bit torn and a bit frazzled , thinking everything had to be done my the first of January, holiday plans looming and feeling a failure for not being able to implement it sooner, something in me switched. My inner voice, higher wisdom, divine feminine (call it what you like) raised her voice and told me STOP BEING IN A HURRY! And somehow, deep inside I truly believed that everything will get done in its own time; that the world will move on with or without my tasks completed. And it’s time to acknowledged what WAS happening in the present and give myself some credit simply being on my path. I always knew that, but my beliefs didn’t match the reality of it.
Yet since that day, when LIGHTNESS DAWNED, I have not been in a hurry. And I have accomplished many projects anyway! When the feeling of anxiousness begins to rear its ugly head, I take a breath and remember, “I AM NOT IN HURRY.” And I return to being content in what is unfolding moment by moment.
This newly embraced belief is the gift I have received from the practice of yoga and daily meditation – to listen inwardly and respond gracefully. Easier said than done, yet completely available when we truly listen to the heart.
So, all the amazing offerings that are available for your own journey under the shelter of THE YOGAMOTION WELLNESS CENTER are listed on our old but reliable website, and someday, when the time is right, you will be invited to the new one.
In Abiding Peace,
